St. Edith Stein was a Carmelite nun from a Jewish family. Inspired by the writings of Teresa de Avila, Edith had a full conversion to the Catholic Church and later professed her vows as a Carmelite Discalced sister. This delicately designed medal is carved in sterling silver; Saint Edith Stein is depicted with hands together in prayer. She was a wise, brilliant philosopher and influencer of her time. Her last days were spent in deep adoration and prayer in Auschwitz with her sister Rose until their death.
Edith is considered a Martyr. This medal will be cherished by a woman who loves philosophy.
